Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns and provide parent education. The role includes on-the-job training and annual certification through the American Academy of Audiology.

This on-site position requires efficient data collection, adherence to safety policies, and collaboration with the HS team to ensure timely communication and follow-up when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtained upon offer.
• Weekend and national holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens on newborns in hospital settings.
• Collect baby data/demographics and document results.
• Educate parents on the importance of newborn hearing screening.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements; escalate issues as needed.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule follow-ups.
