Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns, ensuring accurate data collection and timely reporting. On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology–accredited certification are provided.

You will educate families about screening importance, maintain patient confidentiality, and collaborate with hospital staff to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns and collect all necessary data for each baby, ensuring reliable results.
• Perform hearing screens and related services during each shift.
• Educate parents on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Upload screen results, billing, and state reporting by the end of each shift.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies when appropriate.
• Follow PPE, vaccination and safety protocols; ensure documentation is complete.
