Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform infant hearing screens in hospital settings. You will receive on-the-job training and annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology, ensuring accuracy and timely intervention for newborns.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, data entry, and education for families, with required flexibility for weekends and holidays and a strong focus on safety and compliance across hospital sites.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently (95% of shift).
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
• Demonstrate sensitivity when speaking to family and when handling patients.
• Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens for newborns in hospital settings.
• Provide education to parents on the relevance of hearing screens and early intervention.
• Ensure documentation and reporting are completed per policy.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule follow-ups.
• Maintain patient and family confidentiality and provide compassionate care.
