Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings and educate parents on early intervention. You will work on-site at hospital locations, with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification to ensure quality care for newborns.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently.
• Demonstrate sensitivity when speaking to family and when handling patients.
• Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Provide education to parents on the relevance of hearing screens and early intervention.
• Ensure accurate documentation of screen results and demographics.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and coordinate outpatient follow-up when needed.
