Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform in-hospital hearing screens for newborns. You will screen babies on-site at participating hospitals and contribute to early detection of hearing loss with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification.

Dedicated to family-centered care, Pediatrix emphasizes patient education, accurate data recording, and timely communication with families and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or must obtain upon offer.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication and confidentiality maintained with families.

Responsabilités

• Comply with company and facility policies including PPE, vaccinations, and annual compliance.
• Evaluate patient for screen readiness prior to screening.
• Collect data/demographics and perform hearing screens for eligible babies.
• Provide education to families about the necessity of the screen and results.
• Upload screen results and reconcile stats by end of shift.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
