Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings and provide education to parents about early intervention. This on-site role includes on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification.

The position emphasizes accurate data collection, efficient screening, and collaboration with hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient care and timely follow-up when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate each patient for screen readiness to ensure reliable results.
• Collect all necessary data and demographics for each baby; perform the hearing screen and related services.
• Educate parents on the importance of newborn hearing screens and early intervention.
• Upload screen results and billing/state reporting by end of each shift; reconcile stats.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and final refer babies; schedule outpatient appointments when needed.
