Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group seeks a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns, ensuring timely follow-up and parent education. You will work on-site at Morton Plant Hospital and potentially other locations, with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology-certified certification.

Responsibilities include screen readiness assessment, data collection, documentation, timely reporting, and coordinating outpatient follow-up for refer babies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and provide education to parents on the relevance of screening and early intervention.
• Ensure screens are completed per protocol and documentation is accurate.
• Upload results and state reporting by end of each shift; reconcile stats as directed.
