Job summary

Pediatrix is hiring a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screens in hospital settings, including Morton Plant Hospital. You will receive on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certified training to support early detection and intervention.

Responsibilities include screening newborns, ensuring readiness, collecting data, educating families, documenting results, and coordinating follow-up appointments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CPR certification preferred or obtained on offer.
• Excellent communication and ability to maintain confidentiality in a hospital setting.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings and educate parents on results and next steps.
• Ensure screen readiness and accurate data collection for each baby.
• Document results, upload data, and coordinate follow-up appointments as needed.
• Maintain PPE, follow safety/protocols, and escalate issues to the HS Manager.
