Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to provide hospital-based hearing screens for newborns, with on-site work at one or more hospital locations. You will receive on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology‑accredited certification to improve early detection and intervention.

Responsibilities include assessing screen readiness, collecting data, performing screens, educating families, documenting results, and coordinating follow-up appointments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns in hospital after birth.
• Collect data/demographics for each baby and perform screens.
• Document and reconcile screen results and state reporting.
• Educate parents on the results and next steps.
• Schedule outpatient follow-up for referred babies as needed.
