Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns, educate families, and ensure accurate data entry. This on-site role offers on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification to support early detection efforts.

The position emphasizes patient care, safety protocols, and collaboration with hospital staff to coordinate follow-up for refer babies while maintaining high confidentiality and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it after offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform hearing screens for newborns in hospital settings.
• Provide education to parents on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Ensure proper data collection and documentation for each baby.
• Maintain patient and family confidentiality and safe practice.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies when needed.
