Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital on-site hearing screens for newborns and educate families on the importance of early intervention. The role includes data collection, accurate documentation, and timely reporting of results.

The technician will work at hospital locations, receive on-the-job training, and participate in annual American Academy of Audiology certification. Flexible weekend and holiday scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain after offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on the results and next steps.
• Collect data/demographics for each baby and document accurately.
• Screen babies during shift and ensure reliable results with proper readiness.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or referred babies and coordinate follow-up appointments.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of shift and reconcile statistics.
