Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns, educate families, and ensure timely documentation and follow-up.

The role emphasizes on-site work at multiple hospital locations with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification. The technician will screen babies who are ready, collect data, and maintain accurate records while ensuring safety protocols and patient education are

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on results and next steps.
• Ensure screen readiness and reliable results by preparing babies appropriately.
• Collect data/demographics and document screen results per protocol.
• Upload results and billing information by the end of each shift and reconcile stats.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed hearings and refer cases.
• Schedule outpatient follow-ups for refer babies when indicated.
