Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. seeks a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens for newborns in the hospital setting. You will educate parents on the importance of early detection and ensure accurate data collection and documentation.

The role is on-site at one or more hospital locations, with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology-certified training. Prior experience with newborns is advantageous and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on screen relevance.
• Collect patient data/demographics and ensure accurate documentation for each screening.
• Upload results and state reporting by end of each shift and reconcile statistics.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when appropriate.
• Provide care and information to families during the screening process.
