Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an entry-level Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens at hospital locations. You will screen babies, collect demographics, educate families, and ensure proper documentation and reporting by the end of each shift.

On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification are provided to help improve early detection of hearing impairments and timely intervention.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED; CPR certification required or obtained upon offer.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents about screening importance.
• Ensure data/demographics are collected for each baby and documentation is completed.
• Maintain patient privacy and comply with hospital policies and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with Site Supervisor and refer babies as needed.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies when appropriate.
