Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings and educate families on the importance of early detection. On-the-job training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology are provided.

The role involves completing screens efficiently, maintaining accurate data, and coordinating with hospital staff to ensure timely follow-up care for refer babies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens.
• Provide education to parents about screening and early intervention.
• Ensure patient readiness and proper documentation for each screen.
• Maintain safety protocols and PPE usage as required.
• Upload results and ensure accurate reporting by end of shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or refer babies and schedule follow-ups.
