Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform in-hospital hearing screens, educate families, and maintain accurate documentation. On-the-job training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology are provided to ensure quality early detection and intervention.

Responsibilities include screen readiness assessment, data collection, results upload, and coordination of follow-up appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or able to obtain upon offer.
• Ability to work weekends and national holidays.
• Entry level experience with newborns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing in hospital settings.
• Collect demographics and ensure reliable screen readiness.
• Provide education to parents about screening and early intervention.
• Document and upload screen results and billing data daily.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or referred cases.
• Coordinate outpatient appointments for refer babies.
