Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens at hospital locations, ensuring accurate data collection and providing education to parents about the importance of early intervention.

The role involves on-site hospital work, complying with safety protocols, and completing documentation promptly. Training leads to American Academy of Audiology certification; weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing in hospital settings.
• Collect data and demographics for each baby and document results.
• Perform hearing screens and related services on all eligible babies per shift.
• Educate parents/guardians on the importance of screening and next steps.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies when needed.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
