Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns, with on-site duties at Baptist Health Baptist Hospital Miami. Training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification are provided to support quality screening and timely intervention.

You will screen babies in designated shifts, educate families, and ensure accurate data capture and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR Certification required or to be obtained upon offer.
• Weekend and national holiday availability required.
• Entry level role with 1–3 months of newborn or medical setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings with appropriate readiness.
• Educate parents about the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Collect data/demographics and document screening results per protocol.
• Upload screening results and billing/state reporting by end of each shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
• Contribute to a high-quality, patient-centered care environment.
