On-the-job training includes certification by the American Academy of Audiology. Flexibility for weekend work and holidays is required; travel between hospital locations may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain on offer.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens at hospital on-site.
• Educate parents on screening relevance and early intervention.
• Maintain data/demographics for each baby and document results.
• Ensure screen readiness and follow documentation protocols.
• Notify supervisor of missed/final refer babies and schedule outpatient referrals when needed.
• Adhere to PPE, vaccinations, safety policies, and compliance training.
