Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screens and provide education to families on early intervention. The role is on-site at HealthPark Medical Center and other hospital locations, with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification.

Responsibilities include data collection, completing screen documentation, and coordinating follow-up for refer babies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or offered upon hire.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Collect and document patient data and screening results per shift.
• Educate parents about the importance of newborn hearing screens and next steps.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate care to families.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies as appropriate.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or referred screens.
