Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform in-hospital hearing screenings for newborns. This on-site role includes training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology, with a focus on timely education and follow-up for families.

You will screen eligible babies, collect data, ensure proper documentation, and coordinate referrals when needed, while maintaining patient confidentiality and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Collect data and demographics for each baby and document results.
• Educate parents on the importance of screening and early intervention.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and arrange outpatient follow-up.
