Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screens in hospital settings and to educate families about early intervention. On-the-job training includes annual American Academy of Audiology certification to ensure high-quality newborn screening and accurate data reporting.

The role requires careful screen readiness assessment, data collection, and timely communication with site supervisors, with a focus on patient and family-centered care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Screen newborns for hearing loss and educate parents on the importance of early intervention.
• Assess each baby for screen readiness to ensure reliable results.
• Collect data/demographics and document screening results per protocol.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule outpatient follow-ups when needed.
