Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform infant hearing screens in hospital settings and educate parents on the importance of early detection. This on-site role requires compliance with hospital policies, accurate data capture, and efficient screen processing across shifts.

On-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology-accredited certification are provided to ensure high-quality care for newborns and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Provide education to parents on screening importance.
• Collect demographics and document results per protocol.
• Upload results and reconcile shift statistics.
• Notify supervisor of missed or referred babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies.
