Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform on-site hearing screens in hospitals after birth. You will screen newborns, educate families on results and early intervention, and support the care team with accurate documentation.

On-the-job training is provided, including annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology. The role requires flexibility, weekend/holiday availability, and lifting up to 50 pounds as part of patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Provide newborn hearing screens in hospital settings.
• Educate parents on the importance of hearing screens and early intervention.
• Collect baby demographics and ensure accurate documentation for each screen.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and refer babies; schedule outpatient appointments as needed.
• Upload screen results and billing data by end of shift; reconcile statistics.
