Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings, educate families, and ensure accurate data reporting. The role is on-site at hospital locations with on-the-job training and annual certification by the American Academy of Audiology.

Responsibilities include screening eligible babies, collecting demographics, educating families, and ensuring timely upload of results and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens on eligible babies in hospital settings.
• Collect data and demographics; ensure accurate documentation.
• Educate parents on screen results and the importance of follow-up.
• Upload results and billing/state reporting by end of each shift.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed or referred babies and schedule follow-ups.
• Maintain compliance with PPE, safety, and hospital policies.
