The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center–Newark IT Service Desk is seeking a student technician to deliver high-quality IT help to students, faculty, and staff at the Newark campus. You will handle phone, email, and ServiceNow tickets, resolving issues on laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and printers, and provide hands-on A/V support for classrooms and events.

Key duties include ticket processing, on-site support, and assisting with event setups while maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT assistance via phone, email, and ServiceNow to OSU Newark students, faculty, and staff.
• Provide hands-on A/V support and troubleshooting in classrooms and event spaces.
• Assist with maintaining A/V equipment and support campus events.
• Handle requests and resolve technical issues across laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and printers.

Job description

The Newark IT Service Desk Student Technician delivers high-quality, customer-focused IT assistance to COTC and Ohio State Newark students, faculty, and staff. Operating through phone, email, and ServiceNow ticketing, the student processes requests and resolves technical issues across laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and printers. Additionally, this role provides hands-on A/V assistance and troubleshooting in classrooms and event spaces while also assisting to keep A/V equipment properly maintained. The student will also support events on campus ranging from a basic meeting to a large scale conference.
