Job summary

Resolve Pain Solutions is seeking a New Patient Scheduler / Referral Coordinator to convert referrals into scheduled visits by processing referrals accurately and contacting patients promptly. This role is essential to practice growth, access, and patient satisfaction, serving as the first impression for new patients.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of medical scheduling experience with knowledge of insurance types and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical scheduling, call center, or patient access.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks (preferred).
• Experience with ReferralMD (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of insurance types (commercial, Medicaid, WC, Medicare).
• Exceptional phone etiquette and patient communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process all new patient referrals.
• Enter referrals into ReferralMD and eClinicalWorks accurately and same day.
• Review referrals for completeness including diagnosis, insurance, and required documentation.
• Contact new patients within the same business day when referrals are received and schedule initial consultations.
• Educate patients on appointment expectations, required documentation, and arrival instructions.
• Verify insurance benefits and referral requirements; route authorizations as needed.
• Document all patient contact attempts in ReferralMD and eClinicalWorks; maintain accurate demographics and referral source tracking.
• Meet or exceed access benchmarks and monitor referral aging daily.
