Job summary

Resolve Pain Solutions in Kenner, LA seeks a New Patient Scheduler / Referral Coordinator to convert referrals into scheduled visits by processing referrals, contacting patients promptly, and ensuring documentation and insurance requirements are complete. This role is the first impression for new patients entering the practice.

You will manage referrals in ReferralMD and eClinicalWorks, coordinate with providers, educate patients on appointment expectations, and uphold accuracy in demographics

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical scheduling, call center, or patient access role.
• Experience with: eClinicalWorks (preferred)
• ReferralMD (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of insurance types (commercial, Medicaid, WC, Medicare).
• Exceptional phone etiquette and patient communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process all new patient referrals and enter them into Referral MD and ClinicalWorks the same day.
• Review referrals for completeness including diagnosis, insurance information, and required clinical documentation.
• Assign referrals to providers and locations based on scheduling guidelines.
• Contact new patients within the same business day and schedule initial consultations.
• Educate patients on appointment expectations, documentation, and arrival instructions.
• Verify insurance benefits and referral requirements; identify authorization needs.
• Document all patient contact attempts and maintain accurate demographics and referral tracking.
• Ensure clean handoff to front desk and scheduling teams; meet access benchmarks.
