Job summary

Advanced Utility Systems, a Harris division, seeks a Senior Account Executive to win new municipal utility customers across North America. You will own the full pursuit from first contact to signed contract, shaping requirements and leveraging AI in RFPs and demonstrations.

The role is remote across Canada/US with travel ~50%. Strong candidates will have 5+ years selling CIS or enterprise software to public sector buyers and a proven track record of new-logo wins.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of quota-carrying software sales experience to municipal utilities or similar public sector buyers.
• Proven ability to win new logos and articulate a compelling value proposition.
• Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and RFP responses.

Responsibilities

• Own a new-logo quota across North American municipal utilities with no install-base farming.
• Develop and execute target account plans considering aging CIS platforms and upcoming contract expirations.
• Build relationships with utility managers, finance directors, IT leaders, and board members to shape buying decisions.
• Lead RFP responses from kickoff to submission, coordinating product, services, and finance to meet deadlines.
• Mentor a new sales team member and guide pursuit work while driving AI-enabled improvements in proposals and demonstrations.
