Job summary

Banner Health’s New Nurse Experience (NNE) is a full-time RN residency program designed to bridge from new graduate to competent registered nurse. The program offers clinical mentoring, access to a simulation center, and opportunities across Banner Health facilities with structured onboarding and career development.

New grads will be clinically mentored on a PCU unit, typically three 12-hour night shifts, with weekend and holiday rotations, and a minimum 12-month commitment to their NNE unit.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Banner Registry and Travel positions require a minimum of one year of acute care experience.
• Experience in the clinical area is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients under their care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
• Document care and maintain accurate patient records and assessments.
• Mentor and precept new nurses and clinical staff as assigned.
• Participate in unit-based clinical education and quality improvement activities.
