Job summary

Banner Health’s New Nurse Experience (NNE) provides a collaborative learning environment where new graduates transition to professional nurses. Nurses are mentored on Med/Surg Float units at Banner Health facilities, with opportunities across Med/Surg, PCU, and Outpatient Observation.

New grads work three 12-hour shifts with weekend/holiday rotations and participate in a comprehensive training program, including simulation, competency assessment, and Cerner EMR orientation.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN is preferred – open to ADN at select locations.
• Current BLS card (through AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI) or ability to obtain certification before start date.
• No more than 12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document patient nursing care per policy and professional standards.
• Formulate and adjust care plans with patient/family involvement and multidisciplinary team input.
• Coordinate, delegate and supervise care activities to ensure continuity of care.
• Document care and patient progress in the medical record; communicate status to team.
