Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield, OH is seeking a New Grad Registered Nurse for the Step Down (Progressive Care) unit at Springfield Regional Medical Center. You will deliver compassionate nursing care, assess patient status, coordinate with the care team and develop care plans to improve outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration, patient safety, and ongoing learning. Must have BSN preferred, RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS per policy; previous CNA/PCA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing preferred but not required.
• Current state RN licensure or RN applicant.
• BLS or ACLS certification preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months.
• Experience as LPN or Patient Care Tech/CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and care plans.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments.
• Act as patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely per policies and procedures.
