Job summary

Mercy Health in Springfield is seeking a Progressive Care RN (Step Down) to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will collaborate with the care team, assess patients, create and adjust care plans, and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment. The role requires 1 year of RN experience (6 months acute care preferred), an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required.
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• BLS or ACLS certification preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment; develop and implement a care plan; evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications safely per state practice and organizational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
