Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield Hospital is seeking a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care (Step down). You will deliver high-quality nursing care, assess patient status, and coordinate care across Med-Surg and ICU units.

The role emphasizes collaboration, patient safety, and care planning with educational support and opportunities for professional growth. A BSN is preferred, with a valid Ohio RN license and BLS/ACLS readiness.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred, not required.
• Active RN license in the State of Ohio or eligible to obtain.
• Current BLS or ACLS certification; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and adjust care plans.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments and serve as liaison for care coordination.
• Act as a patient safety advocate and contribute to quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications safely in line with policies and state practice.
