Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care (Step down) unit at Springfield Regional Medical Center. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality nursing care, patient assessment, and care coordination across Med-Surg and ICU interfaces.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, perform nursing interventions, and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment while adhering to organizational policies. State licensure and BLS/ACLS requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Current state RN licensure; BLS/ACLS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment and develops a care plan.
• Administrates medications safely per policy and practice standards.
• Acts as patient safety advocate and coordinates care across departments.
