Job summary

Mercy Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care (Step Down) unit at Fairfield Hospital. The RN will assess patient status, plan and implement care, and coordinate across Med-Surg and ICU teams to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the care team, administering medications safely, supporting patient safety, and contributing to quality improvement. BSN preferred; current RN license and BLS/ACLS as noted.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience required.
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• BSN preferred but not required.
• Current state RN licensure required.
• BLS/ACLS preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessment; create and implement a care plan.
• Serve as point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments.
• Promote patient safety and participate in quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely per policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
