Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield, Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse for Progressive Care (Step down) at Fairfield Hospital. The role focuses on patient assessment, care planning, and coordination between Med-Surg and ICU units.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of RN experience with possible 6 months in acute care; BSN is preferred but not required. Current Ohio RN licensure and BLS are required, ACLS preferred with ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and leadership skills with ability to assess patient status.
• Serves as service line between Med-Surg and ICU units.
• Works with interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment and plan of care.
• Create and implement plans of care and evaluate effectiveness.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments.
• Administer medications safely per policy.
