Banner Health's New Nurse Experience program places recent graduates into essential nursing roles across Banner facilities in Colorado. Nurses receive rigorous onboarding, hands-on preceptorship, and access to a state-of-the-art simulation center.

Most grads work three 12-hour shifts with weekend/holiday rotations, while remaining within a reasonable commute of their assigned unit. Successful candidates typically have BSN preferred or ADN at select locations, a current RN license, and BLS

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Recent RN experience is limited to 12 months or less.
• BSN is preferred; ADN is acceptable at select locations.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs across physical, psychological, social and educational domains.
• Formulates and revises a plan of care with patient and family input.
• Implements plan of care and coordinates with the health care team; delegates appropriately.
• Evaluates patient progress and effectiveness of teaching; adjusts plan as needed.
• Documents assessments, plans, interventions and outcomes in the EHR.
• Participates in unit leadership and mentoring of staff and learners.
• Contributes to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Interacts with patients, families and staff across departments to ensure care continuity.
• Supports evidence-based practice and professional development activities.
