Job summary

Banner Health's New Nurse Experience in Phoenix, AZ is a full-time program to help new graduates become competent, professional RNs through unit-based mentorship and hands-on training. Participants will be oriented to the Cerner EMR and supported by educators during the transition period.

New grads typically work three 12-hour shifts with weekend/holiday rotations, aiming to place graduates on a core unit after a comprehensive training experience.

Qualifications

• Recent or upcoming graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted at select locations.
• Current BLS card from American Heart Association, Red Cross, or ASHI, or ability to obtain before start date.
• No more than 12 months RN experience.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transitioning from new graduate to a fully competent, professional nurse.
• Participate in orientation and mentored clinical experiences.
• Rotate through units as mentored by staff and educators.
• Work three 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotations.
