Job summary

Groove Technology Solutions seeks a detail-oriented Billing Specialist focused on New Construction to join our Accounting & Finance team in the Salt Lake City area. You will manage end-to-end billing for construction contracts and draw requests tied to milestones.

You will coordinate Schedule of Values, lien waivers, and project milestones to ensure accurate, timely billing and compliance. Collaborate with Project Managers and subcontractors to reflect actual work and monitor AR aging.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Billing.
• Proven experience with construction contracts and project-based billing workflows.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting/ERP software.
• Experience with Procore and other customer billing software.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end billing for construction contracts, ensuring adherence to project terms and schedules.
• Inflow of new construction projects including Schedule of Values to set up billing.
• Prepare and submit accurate draw requests and progress billings based on milestones and completion percentages.
• Coordinate collection and filing of lien waivers and other required compliance docs for subs and vendors.
• Prepare customer reporting and documentation such as lien releases and certified payroll reporting.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to review status and ensure billing reflects work completed.
• Monitor AR aging for construction projects and follow up on outstanding progress payments.
