Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Neuroscience Account Manager for Psychiatry in Canton, OH. You will drive product promotion, build key relationships with psychiatrists and CMHCs, and execute territory plans to exceed sales goals.

The role requires a BS/BA with a strong academic record and several years in pharma sales, with travel within the territory and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA >3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
• Existing relationships with psychiatrists or CMHCs within territory preferred.
• Must reside within territory geography.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy.
• Analyze local market and monitor performance to maximize product use in territory.
• Maintain current knowledge of products, disease, competition, and reimbursement.
• Manage resource allocation (budgets, time) within the territory.
• Communicate effectively with identified target audiences using advanced selling skills.
• Identify and leverage advocacy channels; secure product access and reimbursement as needed.
• Manage travel and promotional budgets; complete reports and expenses.
• Maintain compliance with laws and company policies; meet credentialing requirements.
