Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharma company focused on novel therapies, seeks a Neuroscience Account Manager to drive territory sales and value delivery. You will collaborate with the District Sales Manager, analyze markets, and maintain deep product and reimbursement knowledge to maximize product use.

Key qualifications include a BS/BA with GPA >3.0 and 3+ years in pharma sales. Travel may be required; existing relationships with psychiatrists or CMHCs are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA >3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
• Associate role available for those not meeting experience requirements.
• AT-ypical anti-psychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
• Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction.
• Analyze local market to maximize product use in the territory.
• Maintain current product, disease, competitive and reimbursement knowledge.
• Track and optimize resource allocation (budgets, time).
• Communicate effectively using selling and negotiation skills to target audiences.
• Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
• Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
• Manage travel and promotional budget.
• Complete expense and call reporting using approved systems.
• Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and Vanda policies.
• Meet credentialing requirements to continue employment.
• Take on ad-hoc projects as needed.
