Vanda Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Neuroscience Account Manager specializing in Psychiatry to join a high-performance sales team.

The role focuses on executing sales strategies, building relationships with psychiatrists and health centers, and driving product access within the territory. The position requires a BS/BA with GPA >3.0 and 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with preference for experience in psychiatry or CNS products.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred.
• Candidates not meeting the work experience requirements may be considered for the “Associate” role.
• Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
• Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
• Analyze local market and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in territory.
• Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
• Determine and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time) within territory.
• Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified audiences.
• Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
