Job summary

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona is seeking an experienced RN for the Neuro/Trauma PCU Telemetry unit. The PCU RN will care for high-acuity neuro and trauma patients, including multi-system complex cases, with opportunities to work across related specialties as needed.

The role supports self-scheduling for night shifts and weekend coverage, plus an 18% night differential and a $3/hour weekend differential where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active RN license valid in the state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in acute care settings is preferred.
• Night shift availability and flexibility requested.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care following organizational policies and professional standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and ensure safe outcomes.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses clearly and timely.
• Educate patients and families and plan discharge needs as part of continuity of care.
• Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice within the unit.
