Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Trauma PCU Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity 36-bed trauma unit within a Level 1 Trauma center. You will provide specialized care for adult trauma patients and work within a multidisciplinary team that emphasizes patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.

The role involves 3x12-hour shifts (days) with weekend rotations, telemonitoring, and collaborative care planning.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in the clinical area for which you are applying is desired.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulate a plan of care and discharge plan in collaboration with patient/family and health team.
• Implement the care plan with direct patient care, coordination and supervision of the health care team.
• Evaluate patient progress towards goals and outcomes with the care team.
