Job summary

Impact Networking, LLC is seeking a TOC Network Engineer to join the Managed IT team in Chicago. You will support customer environments, triage incidents, and collaborate with vendors to restore services quickly and securely.

The role requires strong TCP/IP, VLAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall knowledge, plus experience with Cisco/Meraki/Aruba platforms. On-call rotations and ongoing certification are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting across Layer 2/3, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, WANs and security practices.
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Aruba management and QoS.
• Comfort with cloud networking (Azure) and network automation (PowerShell/Python).

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer support and technical assistance for Impact Networking environments.
• Manage network incidents through resolution and closure with internal teams and vendors.
• Monitor infrastructure, verify alerts, and escalate complex issues appropriately.
• Document work, update tickets, and maintain network diagrams in IT tools.
• Plan, document, and perform network changes in response to client issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and preventive actions for incidents.
