Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Network Development Engineer for its Network Fabric Engineering team to build, deploy, and scale AWS network infrastructure across datacenters. You will collaborate with automation, software, and hardware teams to ensure reliable, scalable networks for EC2, S3, and other services.

The role covers sustaining engineering, technology refresh, and implementing best practices, while maintaining aggressive performance and cost goals in a fast-paced AWS environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience.
• 8+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 5+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Lead network projects in deployment/implementation and scaling.
• Sustain network for AWS customers by diagnosing and resolving large-scale events.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, and configurations issues including Unix interactions.
