Job summary

AWS Network Fabric Engineering (NFE) is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join our team. You will develop, build, deploy, operate, and scale the Amazon networks supporting AWS, customers, and business units across global datacenters.

You will work with a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, and security experts to ensure safety, security, and cost efficiency while growing capacity for AWS services. This role emphasizes automation, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
• Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting.
• Experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and network OS such as Cisco IOS/Junos.

Responsibilities

• Develop, operate, optimize the performance of the ML network infrastructure across all network fabrics.
• Automate our network across multiple global datacenters and greenfield locations.
• Collaborate with automation teams to define tools for scalable operations.
• Work with internal customers on designs and bring designs from concept to production.
• Create and update network standards and ensure deployment to these standards.
• Implement changes on the network.
