Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Network Development Engineer to help build, deploy, and scale the AWS network across global datacenters. The role focuses on sustaining and evolving the Next-Generation networks, balancing efficiency, performance, and reliability for customers.

You will collaborate with Network/Infrastructure teams and software engineers to ensure smooth deployment of new designs, while maintaining standards and documentation across the toolset.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• Four+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Three+ years of work in large-scale networking environments.
• Four+ years of network and operating system support experience, or a Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent STEM field.
• Four+ years of technical support experience, or experience taking ownership and driving resolution on escalated customer issues.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Work with automation teams to scale tooling.
• Lead network projects in deployment, scaling and optimization.
• Sustain AWS networks for major customers by diagnosing and resolving large-scale events.
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms and configurations; involve Unix systems.
