Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join the Network Fabric Engineering team. You will build, deploy, and scale the Amazon networks that support AWS across multiple global datacenters.

This role requires strong automation skills (Python, Bash, Shell, Perl), extensive experience with Linux/Unix, and expertise in major internet routing protocols, with collaboration across Network/Infrastructure teams and a focus on documentation and repeatable processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl
• 8+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
• 5+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience

Responsibilities

• Create and implement changes on the network
• Work closely with automation teams to scale tools
• Lead network projects in sustaining engineering, deployment, scaling, technology refresh, and optimization
• Sustain AWS networks for large customers by diagnosing, mitigating, and resolving events
• Operate and troubleshoot routing, interconnectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations
• Drive innovation from top of rack to network border and beyond
• Collaborate with Network/Infrastructure teams to roll out new designs
• Prepare and review documentation and SOPs for deployments and issues
